Another Month Gone By Oh My!

It's been another month since I've written in my blog. I can't believe how time just flies but when you are waiting for something or want something to happen it seems like time just drags on. Before you know it it will be Christmas time again. I guess maybe I should get started with my shopping early but of course that never happens because I always wait until the last minute.

Since my last blog, life goes on as usual. We went to visit our son upstate and that went by smoothly. We've visited the dentist and no cavities thank God. The cheese cake that I baked came out pretty good, it was gone in two days.

I've been back and forth to Kissimmee and Clermont several times checking out the houses for sale and the areas. I need to get a map of those areas so that I can see what's around there. I will have to sign up for AAA because I'm going to need them. I had been thinking about signing up again but after what happen Friday I most definitely will sign up again. Let me tell you...

On Thursday dh and I picked up our little peanut, granddaughter. My brother happened to stop by that day to pick up his camera so I asked him if he had been to the Lowry Park Zoo. He said yes, so on Friday dh and I decided we were going to take the little peanut to the zoo.

Everything went fine but it was hot. I splattered my granddaughter with spf 30 sunscreen so she won't get sunburn but of course she has that perfect beautiful skin that doesn't burn it just tans.

We roamed around the zoo checking out the animals. She really enjoyed herself looking at all those large creatures. I took one of her books with us which was about the zoo and pointed to the animals in the book with the real animals at the zoo. I wanted to put her on rides but she is still too young for them, maybe next year.

After roaming around for a while we went to grab some grub. I had a chef's salad, dh had a fish and chips and our grandbaby had chicken nuggets with chips. We walked around some more and checked out some other animals then we let her play in the water and cool off for awhile. We changed her clothes and went into a gift shop. She just looked at everything and didn't try to grab anything or ask for anything which is surprising for a toddler. I brought her a stuffed giraffe and tiger before leaving the zoo. Then it happened...

I told dh to turn on the car and the air conditioning to cool it off. I put our bags in the car and then I strapped the baby into her car seat and gave her her juicy juice, bo-bo and new toys. We closed the back door. Dh and I then lit a cigarette and I told him to close the front door so the smoke won't get inside and I went to fill up the water bottle.

When I got back he said "we" are in trouble the baby is locked in the car. I asked how did that happen? I wasn't worried because she was safe. She was strapped in so she couldn't play with anything inside the car. The air conditioning was on so she was nice and cool. She had her bo-bo and juicy juice. When we looked in the window she just laughed as always thinking we were playing peek-a-boo with her.

One of the attendants there called AAA for us and in 15 minutes they were there to open the doors. In the meantime the baby had fallen asleep from all the excitement of looking at the animals and playing in the water. We called the police but they said they would have to break the windows to my BMW so that was a no. But if the air conditioner had been off I would have broken that window myself and it would not have been a problem. I thank God that I always cool the car before I put her in it and I always make sure to put on the emergency brake too.

So now come this week I will order AAA because when I called BMW road assistance they said my car doors could not be opened with the GPS because my car didn't have it. All in all everything worked out fine.

I have put some pictures of our zoo day trip on my photo blog at http://www.photosbysatinrose.blogspot.com/

Now it's back to work tomorrow for the rest of the week until Friday when I pick her up again.
